Durabine SP Windrower Heads Offer Widest Cut in Agriculture

New Holland, PA (August 31, 2010) - New Holland's new Durabine™ heads are the latest advancements to boost the productivity of New Holland's high-capacity, Speedrower® self-propelled windrowers. At 19 feet, the Durabine 419 model offers the widest cut in the industry.

"Our new Durabine heads have the speed, capacity and durability New Holland Haybine® and Discbine® mower-conditioners are known for," says Mike Cornman, New Holland Hay and Forage Segment Marketing Manager. "These heavy-duty heads provide clean, uniform cutting and better crop flow to produce a quick drying, evenly distributed swath or windrow."

The Durabine 419 header takes down 19 feet of crop at a time to speed through tough, heavy crops in less time. The head's 12 high-speed counter-rotating discs produce high capacity and an exceptionally clean cut in a wide variety of crop conditions. Adjustments can be made from a 96-inch swath to a 38-inch windrow without tools. The Durabine 419R is available with rubber or steel chevron rolls.

The Durabine 416 header slices through 16 feet of crop at a clip and delivers Speedrower windrower performance with rubber or steel chevron rolls.

The key to the industry-leading performance of both of these two new headers is the full-length crop flow auger. It stretches across the entire cutting width of the head, from the center of the outermost disc on each end of the head. The auger quickly moves the cut crop away from the discs and prevents it from pushing down the incoming crop. Crop is delivered smoothly and evenly to the conditioning system for ultimate control of windrow and swath formation. Both feature New Holland's MowMax™ II modular cutterbar for maximum durability, reduced power consumption, easy servicing, and clean cutting in all conditions.
